The Ventus series of continous-zoom cooled midwave infrared (MWIR) thermal imaging cameras provide system integrators with a wide range of high-performance, long-range imaging solutions. An array of optics and sensor engines are available spanning 35.5-0.6 degrees HFOV. Powerful electronics provide industry-leading image processing, H.264 or digital (CameraLink) video, integrated one-touch autofocus, 32GB of onboard storage, and more -- all conveniently accessible through a Sierra Olympic Technology's (SOTI) uniform hardware and software interface.
All Ventus cameras utilize highly sensitive InSb cooled MWIR FPAs with a 15um pixel size and 640 x 512 resolution and are ideal for long-range security, surveillance, and maritime applications in difficult environments.
Lens options in the highly sensitive f/4 cold-shield configuration include 15-300mm, 35-690mm, and 45-900mm. Advanced image processing includes automatic gain control, customizable Contrast-Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE), Image Stabilization, Denoise, Sharpening and Local Area Processing (LAP).
Ventus cameras were designed specifically for integrators and OEM’s. Industry standard connectors and a unified command interface facilitate quick integration through a common platform across SOTI’s Ventus (MWIR) and VindenLR (LWIR) continuous optical zoom camera products. A consistent command structure allows for a single software integration effort that provides access to all of SOTI’s available continuous zoom cameras whether MWIR or LWIR.
When aligned with SOTI’s Vinden LR products, integrators and OEM’s are able to offer a complete line of cooled and uncooled continuous zoom thermal imaging options with robust, repeatable, industry-leading performance.
